We would like all parents to be aware of the new advice to schools about granting leave of absence in exceptional circumstances during term time. The government has made it clear that schools are not permitted to authorise holidays taken in term time, and that parents should not take their children out of school in order to go on holiday.
On Wednesday 6th November, 29 very excited year 1s and 2s and staff, set off on a rather damp day to Conkers Adverture and Discovery Park. However although it rained all day it didnt dampen our spirits.
On the final two days of the term, Mr K organised a fun run for pupils and staff. The children took part on Thursday 17th and thoroughly enjoyed their run! On Friday, it was the turn of the staff – Year 3 set their hopes on a victory from Mrs Barnard and gave much support as she raced around the track! Their positive chants motivated her to sprint the final stretch to claim the title of first female member of staff over the finish line. Year 3 were delighted; however, Mrs Barnard now needs half term to recover!
The children in 1/2B have been investigating the human body, especially what is inside! They blew up balloons as if they were their lungs breathing in and out. The children enthusiastically drew round each other and worked together to locate and draw their major organs
